Annemarie Anang is a British-Ghanaian actress, singer, song-writer, writer, photographer and activist from London.
She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and graduated in 2018. Annemarie has a MA in Acting, a BA (hons) in Classical Studies, QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), and a CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults).
She is currently appearing as 'Winnie' in Free Mandela with TNT Theatre across Europe until 3 April 2020. Previous acting credits include: Herodias, Salomé, Ricky Dukes, Greenwich Theatre. Chorus ensemble, The Magic Flute, Roberto Recchia, Opera på Skäret. Multiple Roles, Scenes from the End of the World, Sarah Davey-Hull, The Yard Theatre. Anfisa, The Three Sisters, Mike Alfreds, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Annemarie has worked as a teacher worldwide for over 10 years specialising in pre-school and primary education, Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and drama.
She writes and illustrates childrens' books and also campaigns for a better Social Care system.
Annemarie is currently writing and rehearsing material for a new band, Clyde Circus, as well as singing backing vocals for afro-jazz band Bukky Leo & Black Egypt.
